Professional Codes of Conduct

As a Practitioner Team Member you are a representative of The Institute of Living Aloha. This role carries cultural stewardship, spiritual responsibility, and ethical accountability.

All members of our Practitioner Team share this responsibility and are expected to uphold these Codes of Conduct at all times, honouring the lineage, the work, and the community we serve.

  1. Practice in Aloha & Pono

    • Bring care, integrity, respect, clarity, and presence to every session and client interaction.

    • Arrive grounded, regulated, and spiritually aligned before working with a client.

  2. Clear Boundaries

    • Set and communicate clear boundaries for each session.

    • Remind clients that they have full autonomy over their body, voice, and choices.

    • Stay in your role of service — do not seek to fulfil your own emotional needs through the session.

  3. Trauma-Informed Practice

    • Prioritise the emotional and physical safety of every client.

    • Be attentive to consent, pacing, and client capacity in real time.

  4. Inclusive Language

    • Use language that is respectful, non-shaming, and inclusive of all body types, genders, and identities.

    • Welcome all clients with aloha, without assumptions or bias.

  5. Client Suitability & Clear Communication

    • Ensure clients are a suitable match for SHLM.

    • Communicate your approach (treatment, coaching, or blended) clearly in your advertising and website.

    • Keep your booking process smooth, timely, and infused with aloha.

    • If you pause or stop offering sessions, inform us so your listing can be temporarily removed.

  6. Professional Attire & Draping Standards

    • Wear modest, appropriate attire (tops for all practitioners; no cleavage or upper thigh visibility).

    • Always use a sarong for draping — no exceptions.

  7. Boundaries, Ethics & Confidentiality

    • Maintain ethical behaviour and professional boundaries at all times.

    • Sexualised or exploitative relationships with clients are never permitted.

    • Dual relationships are allowed only when appropriate for both parties, with clear communication, set limits, and professional boundaries consistently maintained.

    • Maintain confidentiality — share client material only in supervision or with consent.

  8. Fees, Pricing & Cancellation Policy

    • Clearly communicate your fees and cancellation policy.

    • Honour energy exchange in ways that remain pono.

  9. Professional Growth & Supervision

    • Engage in ongoing self-reflection, professional development, and lineage-based learning.

    • Participate in two supervision sessions per year.

Non-Compliance Procedure

  • If a practitioner does not follow these Codes of Conduct:

    • Charlie Snow will contact them to discuss the matter.

    • Temporary suspension of your practitioner listing may be applied.

    • The practitioner will be invited to restore pono.

    • If issues are not resolved, the practitioner’s listing may be permanently removed.

This Code protects the lineage, the client, and you — in right relationship to the work.
