Aloha
Welcome to the Institute of Living Aloha
We are a Hawaiian Wisdom & Spiritual Hawaiian Lomilomi Massage School, dedicated to supporting all beings to cultivate and embody Aloha — unconditional love in action.
Based on unceded lands in Australia, we offer in-person and online trainings, supervision, and professional development for Lomilomi practitioners around the world.
Our Practitioner Team also offers Spiritual Hawaiian Lomilomi Massage sessions across Australia, each practitioner trained and mentored within our school and committed to upholding this work with integrity.
Our teachings are grounded in Hawaiian culture and honour the lineages passed down through our Kūpuna and Kūmu (Elders and teachers), carried with deep respect, care, and cultural responsibility.
The school was founded by Charlie Snow (Nani Ke Aloha), who teaches Spiritual Hawaiian Lomilomi Massage with permission from renowned Hawaiian Elder and Kumu Lāʻau Lapaʻau Sylvester Keiliwaliu Kamaka Iki Aliʻi Paʻakaula Kamoa Kepilino (Papa K).
Alongside Charlie, trained Teachers of the Institute of Living Aloha — all personally taught and mentored within this lineage — offer foundational trainings. All Teachers and Practitioner Team members engage in ongoing professional development and, where possible, continue learning directly with Hawaiian Kūmu, stewarding this sacred work with humility and accountability.
We proudly stand with Ka Lāhui Hawai‘i,
supporting their mission of self-governance
and the preservation of Hawaiian culture. A portion
of our profits goes directly to their grassroots work.
At the Institute of Living Aloha, we honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples
and Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters on which we live, learn and practice.
With deep aloha, we acknowledge their enduring cultural wisdom, their unbroken connection to Country,
and the sovereignty that was never ceded. We recognise our kuleana (responsibility) to walk with respect, humility and reciprocity, and to uphold practices that contribute to healing and right relationship. We pay our heartfelt respects to Elders past and present, and extend this respect to emerging leaders and all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
We pay the rent here. Always Was, Always Will Be.
